This session ended on 2 Flamerule 1372 game-time and was played on 12 October 2002

The battle is over, so now it's time for some interrogation. The party stabilizes their prisoners, the half-orc city leader, Karn and a half-orc cleric, and begins the interrogation. After some chit chat with Karn, they find that he is a very important player in the Black Robes/Armies of Shadow campaign. Apparently, he goes out and recruits (or tricks) Faerun citizens to join his cause using your typical incentives, money, power, and prestige. So for the Cimbar seige, a load of armies were/are needed. So Karn came to Airspur because 1) he really needed armies and 2) he knew the leader was greedy and power hungry. Airspurs armies were easily signed on to the Armies of Shadow cause and the seige on Cimbar began.

"What now?" says the party. While they search the Manor and think of their next course of action, Rurik and Telven notice that whatever guards remaining outside have gathered together. They are being addressed by a black robed figure on horseback of the same build as the missing attacker. This man addresses the guards and then heads toward the east, toward Cimbar. The guards head on over to the cathedral.

The party decides to investigate the cathedral. They find that it is filled with Grumsh followers, much too many for them to take out, it seems, unless they're remarkably clever. They then witness and strangely familiar event. While spying into the cathedral, they watch as the man in the front of the church opens a portal. This portal is of the same form as the portal our party encountered in Citadel Felbar. They are very indecisive as to what to do next..
