The party takes Decius's word as truth and agrees to stay at that mansion for at least the night, they need the rest. What are they going to do about all of this? They wanted revenge on Decius, but it seems that he isn't the only one involved with this scheme. The drow was important, but now he is gone. Who was the drow working for? What were his intentions? The party does not quite know what to think or what to do. They obviously feel that they have stumbled onto something a bit bigger than one man's doing. They decide to sort it out in the morning.

The party awakens the next day to strange news. It seems that the magical aura of the pyramid formation outside is gone. Whatever powers it held seem to have been sucked straight out. After interrogating some slaves who seem to have witnessed the nights occurances, the party learns that a hooded man on horseback had come through the night, approached the formation and then headed to the west. The party is distraught. Something big is up. They decide to go to the tavern to sort it out.

At the tavern they decide that they have to track this hooded man down. Or at least see what is going on. They meet up with a merchant headed to Waterdeep and make a deal. The party will provide protection for the caravan in return for transportation. Early the next day the party begins their travels to the west.
